Dr. Shiju Chacko

Lead – Climate, Spatial Analytics & Environmental Planning

Dr. Shiju Chacko is an environmental and spatial scientist with over 16 years of experience working at the intersection of climate change, environmental management, and geospatial analytics. He holds a PhD in Environmental Science with specialisation in ecosystem service valuation, supported by advanced training in Remote Sensing and GIS.

He has played key roles in major state and national initiatives, including Kerala’s State Action Plan on Climate Change (SAPCC), Greenhouse Gas Inventory, Carbon Neutral Pathway 2050, Ecologically Sensitive Area demarcation, and climate vulnerability and risk assessments. His professional expertise includes spatial modelling, ecosystem assessment, land-use planning, biodiversity conservation planning, and decision-support systems for climate and environmental policy.

Dr. Chacko brings strong experience from government programmes, World Bank–supported landscape initiatives, and research institutions, enabling him to translate complex spatial and environmental data into actionable planning and policy inputs. At ESG Allianz LLP, he leads climate and spatial analytics to support evidence-based environmental governance, resilience planning, and sustainable development across ecologically sensitive landscapes.
