Dr. T. T. Shameer
Lead – Forests, Ecology & Environment
Dr. T. T. Shameer is a wildlife ecologist and conservation biologist with over 15 years of experience working at the interface of science, policy, and on-ground conservation practice. He holds a PhD in Interdisciplinary Wildlife Biology and brings strong interdisciplinary expertise spanning wildlife ecology, biodiversity management, and quantitative ecological analysis.
His professional work focuses on translating ecological evidence into actionable conservation strategies and policy-relevant outputs. He has led and contributed to habitat suitability and landscape connectivity assessments, species recovery planning, and human–wildlife conflict mitigation, with particular experience in conflict-prone and threatened species such as elephants, wild boar, gaur, and sloth bear.
Dr. Shameer combines field-based ecological research with geospatial and data-driven tools, including GIS, remote sensing, and spatial modelling, to support evidence-based forest and wildlife governance. At ESG Allianz LLP, he leads forest and ecological assessments that strengthen conservation planning, risk mitigation, and sustainable landscape management across ecologically sensitive regions.
